Hamilton Fine & Extremely Rare Grade 951 Gold Pocket Watch With Fancy Dial, circa 1909Case: 14k gold, 16 size, fully engraved with engine turnings, flowers, scrolls, and vermicelli, plain gold dust cover
Dial: enamel, golden Arabic numerals in gold trimmed yellow frames, blue numerals in the seconds bit, central green, gold and blue star pattern, gold Louis XV hands, gold star and dot minute markers
Movement: No. 750092, nickel bridge, marked 951, 23 jewels, adjusted five positions, bi-metallic balance with gold timing screws, micrometric regulator, gold gear train, gold jewel settings, jeweled barrel, lever set, straight line damaskeening
Signed: dial and movement signed Hamilton, case signed Keystone, gross weight is 90 grams
Note: The total production numbers of grade 951 movements is unknown but it is by far the rarest and most difficult to find of all the Hamilton grades. The technical features of the 951 also make it one of, if not the highest grade movement produced at the factory. The present example is exceptional with a marked movement, solid gold case and ultra-rare fancy dial.
