Hamilton Unique One-Of-A-Kind Transparent 992 Pocket Watch From The Personal Collection Of René Rondeau
Case: yellow gold filled, 16 size, 51 mm, model # 10 style case with bar over the winding crown, stepped screw down bezels front and back
Dial: transparent plates and bridges, blued steel skeleton spade hands
Movement: totally transparent bridges and plates, 21 jewels, lever setting, gold train gears, open mainspring barrel with five spoke covers, straight line lever escapement, bi-metallic compensated balance wheel, micrometric regulator with swan's neck spring, screwed down gold jewel settings, polished steel plate screws

This important timepiece is truly one-of-a-kind, no other made. The watch was featured in opening sequences of
Hamilton films "What Makes a Fine Watch Fine" (1947) and "How a Watch Works" (1950).
It is also documented in NAWCC Bulletin August 2003, page 463;
Horological Times May 2007, cover feature; International Watch magazine April 2010, page
170. Presented with the watch is a letter from retired Hamilton chemist Phil Lichty about the watch, and Xeroxes of
various articles from Hamilton's in-house magazine "Timely Topics" referring to it in 1946.
Acquired from John Gelson, president of Hamilton in the 1980's.
