Case: 18k yellow gold, 54 mm, 16 size hunters case, plain on the back, front with an overlay monogram, case is by A.L. Dennison, all lids numbered 2, inner gold cuvette engraved "Presented to Tommy by a few of his friends prior to his departure for home. Johannesburg, April 1909
Dial: white enamel, radial Arabic hour numerals, subsidiary seconds, black minute track and five minute numerals, spade hands, signed A.W.W.Co. Waltham
Movement: No. 3793461, nickel, 16 jewels, safety pinion, Pat. June 1888, screw down jewel settings, straight line damaskeening, gold center wheel, bi-metallic balance with gold timing screws, gold slide for the repeat, two hammers striking on gongs
Signed: case signed A.L.D., movement and dial signed A.W.W.Co. Waltham, gross weight is 153.4 grams, lot also includes the original 18k curb link double Albert chain, all links are hallmarked, chain weighs 45.5 grams, with original jewelers box signed Harris & Co. Condition: very good and fine condition overall, dial is very good with no hairlines, case is very sharp with only light and slight surface scratches on the back, movement is good and chiming and running, watch has been sitting for many years so cleaning and oiling is needed
