    Amirauld Paris Brass & Wood Lantern Clock, early 19th century
    Case: outer wood varnished and painted case, 12 1/2 inches high, hinged top portal over the bell, glass crystal, inner brass four post case to support the movement and dial, mixed shape feet and finials
    Dial: brass, 6 inch diameter, champleve black enamel Roman numerals, minute track, five minute numbers, signature and fleur-de-lis designs, steel beetle and poker hands, central rotating 12 hour strike disc
    Movement: brass, time train with anchor escapement, brass pendulum with silk thread suspension, strike train with crown wheel and spindle set up to an upper double ended steel hammer, signed bell with the initials J.S. and numbers

    Note: Made in the style of a 17 the century clock, this interesting lot is believed to be from a later era in that the interior gears appear to be machine cut rather than hand cut.
