German, Exceptional Gilt And Enamel Singing Bird Box, Circa Late 1800's
Case: 4 inches x 2 3/4 inches x 1 3/4 inches, gold gilt brass, the top and sides decorated with finely detailed polychrome enameled pastoral scenes, ivory colored enameled borders and blue cobalt enameled panels
Movement: going barrel movement, bird with iridescent green, gold, red and black plumage, moving the wings, beak moving and back and forth motion during the song cycle
