Patek Philippe & Co., Rare And Very Fine Minute Repeating Pocket Watch With Perpetual Calendar And Moon Phases, circa 1922Case: 53 mm, 18k yellow gold, four body, hinged bezel and plain back, inner hinged bezel with display glass, No. 409600
Dial: white enamel, Breguet numerals, black minute track, subsidiary seconds, aperture for the phases of the moon at twelve, months and days of the week at three and nine, red date indications at six, moon/needle hands
Movement: No. 197737, nickel bridge with Geneve stripes, 31 jewels, eight adjustments, straight line lever escapement, bi-metallic compensated balance with swan's neck regulator, counter-poised pallet, wolf's tooth winding, jeweled to the hammers
Signed: Patek Philippe & Co. Geneve on the dial and movement, Tiffany & Co. Makers inside the back cover of the case, 120 grams gross weight
This lot is accompanied by Extracts from the Archives dated Nov. 1992 and Feb. 2005. It is also presented with an appraisal by "Castella Spezial Uhren" dated November 1992 that lists the sales price as 90,000 Swiss Francs and insured value at 120,000 Francs. The Tiffany made 18k case is likely later at the request of the owner to display the intricacies and beauty of the complicated movement. This is noted on the 1992 Extract in remarks that state "La boîte d'origine no 409.600 a été remplacée par une boîte de fabrication étrangère".

Condition: This timepiece is excellent. The case is very good. The dial is good with small/faint hairlines in the moon phase and month sub dials. Movement is running well. Repeat is working properly but sluggish. Movement runs and sets as it should. Heritage does not guarantee timekeeping accuracy. We always recommend servicing for daily use and timekeeping accuracy.
