    Description

Patek Philippe, Ref: 2552J, 18k Gold "Disco-Volante" Calatrava, "Error Buckle", Circa 1950's
Case: 36 mm, 18k yellow gold, two body case, screw down case back, No. 699722
Dial: Silver, with applied gold baton markers, and small seconds track
Movement: Patek Philippe Cal. 12-600 AT, self-winding, Geneva Seal Hallmark. No. 765931
Band: Leather with original 18k gold error buckle
Signed: Patek Philippe on case, dial, movement. "Patek Phillipe" on buckle

This Ref: 2552 is in its complete original configuration. The timepiece retains its rare "double P" crown, and even rarer original buckle produced by a supplier in the US during the period. This is highlighted due to the misspelling of Patek Philippe as "Patek Phillipe", on the inside gold rim. This misspelling had a production of less than one year before correction, making this one of the rarest Patek Philippe buckles made.
