    Case: No. 4458243, 18k yellow gold, three body, 40 mm, concave bezel, curved and fluted lugs, sapphire crystals
    Dial: matte silver, applied yellow gold faceted baton indexes, subsidiary dials for the seconds, 24 hours, 30-minute register and leap year, graduation for the days of the months, apertures for the days of the week, months and the moon phases, yellow gold feuille hands, outer minute track, 1/5th seconds and tachometer scale
    Movement: caliber CH 27-70 Q, rhodium finish, seal of Geneva quality mark, 24 jewels, Gyromax balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and eight positions, shock absorber, Breguet balance spring, No. 3931888
    Band: original band and 18k gold clasp

    Launched in 2004, the Ref 5970 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph is rightly considered the most desirable of contemporary Patek Philippe. Its relatively short production run of 7 years mean it is a rare watch in all 4 configurations of yellow, white and rose gold and platinum. The increase case size of 40mm, 3mm larger than its predecessor the Ref 5004, and a dial that is balanced perfectly with the inclusion of a tachymeter scale, make the Ref 5970 one of the most desirable modern watches. Inside, the Ref 5970 is the last Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph to be powered by the legendary and beautiful Lemania movement, visible through the exhibition case back. The yellow gold version shown here is considered the rarest and most desirable of this legendary reference.
