Launched in 2004, the Ref 5970 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph is rightly considered the most desirable of contemporary Patek Philippe. Its relatively short production run of 7 years mean it is a rare watch in all 4 configurations of yellow, white and rose gold and platinum. The increase case size of 40mm, 3mm larger than its predecessor the Ref 5004, and a dial that is balanced perfectly with the inclusion of a tachymeter scale, make the Ref 5970 one of the most desirable modern watches. Inside, the Ref 5970 is the last Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph to be powered by the legendary and beautiful Lemania movement, visible through the exhibition case back.
