    Gruen Very Fine Gold Fiftieth Anniversary Watch, circa 1924
    Case: 14k green gold, pentagonal case, three body, back with Art Deco stylized monogram, 46 mm
    Dial: two tone silver, applied gold Arabic numerals, blued steel trefoil hands
    Movement: No. 267, solid 12k rose gold plates and bridges, engraved and chased, extra precision grade, 21 ruby jewels and two diamonds, straight line lever escapement
    Signed: Gruen Fiftieth Anniversary, gross weight is 69.9 grams

    Note: In 1924, to honor the 50th Anniversary of Gruen watches, the company released a prestige watch with a movement made of pure gold. Only 600 pieces were produced - one for each month of the 50 years. The finish and quality of these movements are outstanding. They are superior examples of the art of horology.
