Note: the total production numbers of grade 951 movements is unknown but it is by far the rarest and most difficult to find of all the Hamilton grades. The technical features of the 951 also make it one of, if not the highest grade movement produced at the factory. Examples of gold cased 951 models are very difficult to find. The last known example which surfaced at auction was in 2006, selling with a more common dial variety and a less ornate case than the example offered here for a hammer total of $19,000.
