    A. Huguenin & Sons Fine Gold Quarter Hour Repeater, circa 1880's
    Case: massive, 55 mm, 18k yellow gold, signed gold cuvette, engine turned front and back
    Dial: white enamel, radial black Roman numerals, moon hands, subsidiary seconds
    Movement: No. 13246, nickel bridge, damaskeened, straight line lever escapement with counter poised pallet, bi-metallic compensated balance with Breguet spring, 36 jewels, wolf's tooth winding, jeweled to the hammers
    Signed: triple signed A. Huguenin & Sons, gross weight is 132.7 grams

    Note: A. Huguenin & Fils was founded by Adolphe Huguenin in Le Locle the mid 19th century. Specialized in precision timepieces, the manufacture won various prizes at Observatory trials and participated also at the Philadelphia International Exhibition in 1876.
