French Late 18th Century Gold & Enamel Quarter Repeating Verge, circa 1790Case: two body consular case, gold, pierce rim for the sound, 49 mm, enameled bezel, translucent blue enamel on the back cover with gold, green and silver foliate decoration on the edge and at center
Dial: white enamel, Arabic numerals, rose gold arrow form hands
Movement: gilt full plate, verge fusee, pierced and engraved two footed balance cock, No. 112, repeat activated from the pendant, two steel hammers strike on an inner steel bell, silver disc regulator

Condition: movement is very good, running and chiming strong with very good tone, dial is very good with a tiny flake at the wind hole, case is good, missing the front bezel opening bead, tiny nick on the bezel adjacent to nine, back is very good, one small triangular area on the right where the underlying engine turned area is smooth, enamel is very fine
