    Freres Esquivillon & DeChoudens Very Rare 1/4 Repeater With Five Motion Automaton, circa 1800
    Case: empire case, 61 mm, silver gilt, spring loaded gilt cuvette
    Dial: outer enameled ring with Arabic numerals, gilt spear form hands, raised relief gilt center piece and blue steel back panel, multicolor knights on horse back behind the side walls and at the base, as the repeat is chiming five motions occur - upper knights appear as the hours are chiming, both upper knight's spears move as they joust, the jousting continues with the quarter hour chimes while the lower knight raises his bugle up and down, the upper knights retreat from sight at the conclusion of the chiming
