    Case: 18k yellow gold, 56 mm, engine turned front and back, signed gold cuvette, bezel and exhibition back over the movement, reeded rim, chain guards on the bow, No. 63687
    Dial: white enamel, Roman numerals, black minute track, blue moon hands, subsidiary seconds at six, subsidiary dial for the days of the week and days of the month with adjusting lever near 11 o'clock
    Movement: nickel bridge, straight line lever with counter poised pallet, bi-metallic compensated balance, gold timing screws, 20 jewels, screw down gold settings, gold train, wolf's tooth winding, straight arm regulator to index on the center bridge
    Signed: cuvette is signed H.L. Matile, Locle, No. 63687, Isochronal Vibrations, gross weight is 156 grams

    Note: Henri Louis Matile became famous in America after he exhibited three pocket chronometers and an ultra-complicated watch at the Philadelphia 1876 Centennial Exposition. The chronometers won a first prize and the complicated watch was described as, "The most wonderful watch in the world", by Mark Twain writing in the Washington Times.
