Massive Prototype Silver Watch With Chain, circa 1880Case: enormous 3 1/4 inch diameter case, four body, coin silver, gold lips and hinges, plain spring open back, inner silver dust cover, reeded edges and rim, beveled glass crystal, accompanied by a 16 inch nickel silver chain with fob and winding key

Movement: jeweled 3/4 plate brass movement, screw down jewel settings, large going barrel, straight line lever escapement, bi-metallic balance, patent micrometric regulator, signed "I. Boger's Rail Road Watch No. 1 Nashville Tenn., Pat. Applied For"
