    Meylan-Truan Fine Gold Minute Repeater With Chronograph, circa 1892
    Case: four body, 14k gold, 56 mm, front with black enamel marking "William Davidson 1901", applied gold star frames with ruby and simulated diamond, gold cuvette, No. 32661, inner bezel and glass over the movement
    Dial: white enamel, radial black Roman numerals, outer 1/5 seconds, subsidiary seconds at six, gold arrow form hands
    Movement: nickel, 3/4 plate, damaskeened finish, straight line lever escapement, bi-metallic compensated balance with Breguet spring, jeweled to the hammers, 28 jewels, marked with Swiss cross patent 4252 and oval, oak leaves and star trademark Concise Brevitas for Meylan-Truan
    Signed: "Repetition à Minutes Chronographe" on the cuvette, gross weight is 124.2 grams

    Note: J. Meylan Truan were a watchmaking company in Le Sentier founded in 1878. Their only known trade name was "Concisas Brevitas" with a trade mark consisting of an oval surrounded by oak twigs and surmounted by a rayed 5-pointed star. The firm won a Bronze Meal for horology at the Paris Exposition of 1878, and a Second Class medal at the Chaux-de-Fonds National Exhibition of 1881.
