    Case: outer gilt 4 inch diameter two body pair case with colorful paste stones, opals, enamel and a central polychrome scene, the inner double hinged back metal case is plain with a gilt finish, display glass over the movement, a later brass ring rests over the bezel so the appearance is complete when the cases are together
    Dial: gilt, Roman numerals, raised silver leaf accents, day, date, month and moon phase dials, open blue steel diamond shaped hands
    Movement: gilt bridge, straight line lever escapement, pin set, bi-metallic balance wheel
    Signed: unsigned, a very well done marriage of cases from two different periods
