Rolex, Exceedingly Rare and Complete "The World Famous Oyster Case" Training Display Circa 1980, Accompanied by the "Rolex Mother of Pearl Dial Manufacturing Process Sales Aid" Circa 1985 and "Rolex Exhibition Movement Display Sales Aid" Circa 1975

The World Famous Oyster Case Sales Aid
Circa 1980: This presentation aid was created to show the step-by-step process of how the Rolex Oyster case is created, from rolled steel to finished product. There are two ingots, one of 304L and 904L steel, the two types used by Rolex at the time. A complete "empty" watch case, Rolex Model 16013, with an 18kt Yellow Gold fluted bezel completes this part of the kit.

A large "boule" of synthetic sapphire showing how the crystal is grown, and four individual discs illustrating the finishing process for the watch crystals used by Rolex.

A special "oversized", fully functioning, Rolex Crown device is also included in this package. This item illustrates the inner workings of the screw down functions that allow all Rolex Oyster models to make the claim of being waterproof. The tubes and crowns used with Rolex Ladies, Men's, and Professional series watches are also displayed.

This special kit is 1 of 4 produced in Geneva, Switzerland for the English speaking markets

Rolex Mother of Pearl Dial Manufacturing Process Sales Aid
Circa 1985: This kit shows the step-by-step process of how a Rolex Mother of Pearl dial is created. The finished product, disc 4 is a genuine Rolex Mother of Pearl dial with markings and appropriate for Rolex Model 19018 Day-Date Oysterquartz.

Rolex "Exhibition" Movement Display Sales Aid
Circa 1975: 3 Genuine Rolex movements, Men's Cal. XXXX, Ladies Cal. XXXX, and Men's Oysterquartz Cal. XXXX encased in clear Lucite. Each with appropriate engravings and jewel counts. Rolex Champagne (Gold) dials affixed to each movement. This kit was created to illustrate the workings of the Rolex self-winding movement, and also showcase the first quartz calibre developed entirely in house by Rolex.
