Condition: This exceedingly rare variation of the 6098 explorer is presented in as found condition. The case is very sharp with great lug thickness and original case lines present. The lug holes appear sharp and "sleeve polish" is evident on top of lugs. Original patent + crown is present. The original white dial with "explorer" designation and the loved 3,6,9 hour markers is superb. 4 of the possible 11 radium lume plots are missing, but all lume is retained in the hands. The movement runs and sets, but does not wind from the crown. Due to the originality and rarity of this timepiece we chose to offer as is, in order to let the next collector decide what to do regarding service.
