James Crichton, Glasgow, Heavy Gold Center Seconds Hunter Case, circa 1850Case: 52 mm, 18k yellow gold, four body, gold cuvette, plain back, overlay ornate monogram on the front, hack lever and pin set on the rim
Dial: enamel, sunk center, Roman numerals, outer 1/5th second divisions, gold spade hands
Movement: gilt 3/4 plate, lateral lever escapement, screw down jewel settings, bi-metallic compensated balance, jeweled to the center wheel
