Louis Audemars Superior Quality Lever Chronometer with Helical Hairspring, Triple Movement Plates, circa 1880Case: 18k drum style rose gold hunters case, plain finish to the lids, reeded edges, smooth rim, 52 mm
Dial: enamel, single sunk, Roman numerals, black minute track, spade hands, sub seconds
Movement: nickel, recessed bi-imetallic balance with gold timing screws and blue steel helical hairspring, curved pallet fork, 18 jewels, train and winding gears recessed in a full plate and supported by top bridges with jewels in gold settings
Signed: case signed J.E. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia, movement and dial signed Ls. Audemars Brassus & Geneva
Note: This important timepiece comes with an original archive paper and timing certificate signed by Ls. Audemars as well as with the original hardwood box with extra mainspring.
