M. I. Tobias Rare Two Train Gold Captain's Watch With Independent Seconds & 1/5th Second Jump, circa 1850Case: 18k yellow gold, four body, gold cuvette signed M. I. Tobias and engraved with flowers, swirls and technical features of the movement, back is engine turned, central pedestal and flower frame, slide lever on the rim which stops the jump and center seconds
Dial: white enamel, signed Brown & Maire New York, Roman numerals, moon and kite hands, outer 1/5 seconds track, jump 1/5 seconds at the bottom
Movement: gilt, two train bridge, 21 jewels, side lever escapement, bi-metallic compensated balance, parachute compensation for heat and cold, blue steel straight index regulator
