Swiss Rare & Very Fine Carillon Minute Repeating Three Motion Automaton With Gold, Enamel & Diamond Case, circa 1900Case: 55 mm, four body, plain 18k gold cuvette, gold slide for the repeat function, guilloche red enamel with chased gold designs on the rim and edges, front cover with gold mounted rose cut diamonds forming a large floral motif with swirls and leaves, back cover with another ornate gold floral pattern
Dial: central red sunburst enamel dial with golden Roman chapters and spade hands, polychrome enameled automaton figures of Mercury and two cherubs on a gilt outer disc
Movement: frosted gilt bridge, straight line lever escapement, bi-metallic compensated balance with Breguet spring, jeweled to the hammers, lever setting, three steel hammers striking on three gong rods
