    Case: pair case, outer 68 mm case with applied and embossed leather, silver circular sound openings, six joint side hinge, red stone set push piece for the clasp, inner 59 mm three body silver case with inner bell, pierced central band, elaborately pierced lace and fan form silver wire work back cover, silver slide on the rim to activate the music at will, music also activates automatically on the change of the hour
    Dial: central enamel dial in a rose gold bowl mount, gold Louis XV hands, Arabic numeral, black minute track with gold dots
    Movement: gilt, "sur plateau" musical system with 22 tuned blued steel tone rods playing on both sides of a pinned circular disc, standing barrels for the going train and the musical train, cylinder escapement with three arm balance, blued steel plate screws and balance end cap, steel index regulator, 1/4 hour repeat activated by depressing the pendant
    Signed: the later cases exhibit superior craftsmanship and the top movement plate is stamped P&M 1321
