The letter from Clive Cussler reads:
Dear Don,
"Glad to hear you enjoyed the watch. Your only problem when wearing it is that people think you're Dirk Pitt in restaurants and want your autograph.
I wish I could use your expertise in submersibles, but NUMA never had the funding to look deep."
All the best,
Clive

The letter from Kelly Walsh, dated September 15th, 2023 states:

On June 20, 2020, alongside Victor Vescovo, I dove in a submersible 35,853 feet below the surface of the Pacific Ocean to Challenger Deep. I was the eleventh person to reach the deepest point on the planet, and my father, Captain Don Walsh was the first to do so with Jacques Piccard in 1960. We are the only father and son team to reach the great depths, albeit separated by 60 years. Until my dive, more people had walked on the moon.

This watch, a DOXA Sub 300T, number 315 of 1000, was on my person during the twelve hour dive. The watch was given to my father by Clive Cussler in 2014, and he passed it along to me since he was a Rolex Ambassador. I wore it proudly until I became an Omega Testimony in 2020. Dad and Mr. Cussler were lifelong friends and colleagues in the exploration community.

My DOXA (315 of 1000, #30010) has been to the great depths and back, living up to its reputation as a watch of adventure and exploration.

Pensate Profunde Iteratum.
