Description

Glashutte Original Rare Gold Watch With Unique Hand-Painted Meissen Porcelain Dial, To Be Worn as a Wristwatch or Pocket Watch, Limited Edition No. 03 of 25, circa 1998
Case: 48 x 41 mm, Exceptional artistry is exhibited by this ultra-rare timepiece. The Glashutte Original-Julius Assmann is a limited edition of 25 examples existing in the world, each being unique. The Meissen porcelain dial is decorated with a hand-painted motif from the workbook of the famous Meissen artist Johann Gregorius Horoldt who lived from 1696-1775. Each piece created in this series is unique and the No. 3 shows a fire breathing dragon and man, pink gold skeletonized spade hands are also present. The gold 3/4 plate movement is fully jeweled with rubies in gold settings and is fully engraved with fine swirls. The movement and case are both signed and numbered. An inner bezel and crystal protect the movement. The inner pocket style case can be removed from the outer wrist frame and worn with the associated 18k gold chain measuring 18 inches. The pocket case has black hour dots on the bezel and the wrist case has downturned fluted lugs and a ribbed bezel. The 18k gold buckle is marked J. Assmann. The original booklet containing instruction manual, certificate of authenticity, and guarantee card are found in the original fitted mahogany presentation box.
