Hamilton, Piping Rock, 14K yellow Gold, Manual Wind, Second Edition, Circa 1948
Case: 28x42 mm, 14K yellow gold, two body, tonneau, with pierced case, hinged lugs, and black enameled snap-on bezel inlaid with yellow gold Roman numerals
Dial: matte silver, with outer minute track and sub seconds dial; black sword hands
Movement: Hamilton caliber 747 manual wind, 17 jewels, adjusted, with nickel finish and Geneva stripes
Band: leather
Signed: Hamilton on dial, case, and movement

Hamilton's original, 1928, edition of the Piping Rock was named for a New York State resort and was one of only three from Hamilton with an enameled bezel. The Piping Rock was reintroduced in 1948 with stronger, wider lugs that were less prone to hinge wear; both versions are highly collectible.

Condition: Excellent refurbished dial on original dial plate. Excellent, well-preserved case, with tight lug hinges and enameled bezel crisp and intact. Running, but service is recommended.
