This highly collectible Omega was worn by Commander Misurkin on the Soyuz MS-20 mission. Soyuz MS-20 was a 12-day spaceflight in December 2021 that carried Russian cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin and two Japanese space tourists, Yusaku Maezawa and Yozo Hirano, to the International Space Station (ISS). Launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on December 8, 2021, the spacecraft docked with the ISS's Poisk module after a six-hour, four-orbit flight. The trio returned to Earth on December 20, 2021, landing in Kazakhstan after a 12-day stay on the orbital outpost.
The Soyuz MS-20 mission was informally referred to as the "World Peace" mission primarily due to the personal philosophy and messaging of Yusaku Maezawa, the Japanese billionaire who funded and participated in the flight.
