    Patek Philippe Ref. 4404/4, Rare and Attractive 18k White Gold, Onyx, and Diamond-set Dual Time Wristwatch
    Case: two-body, solid, polished, shaped, case back with screws, polished rounded bezel, two winding-crowns, flattop sapphire crystal.
    Dial: two pavé-set diamond dials on a black onyx. Black "Bâton" hands.
    Movement: Cal. 13,5-320, stamped with the Geneva Quality Hallmark, rhodium-plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, 20 jewels, straight line lever escapement, Gyromax balance adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring.

    Extract from the Patek Philippe archives pending, however, a previous extract (since lost) from April 23rd 2015 (photocopy available) confirms the date of manufacture of 1978, and date of sale as November 30th 1987, also confirming it was delivered with the above movement and case numbers.

    Reference 4404 was in production in very limited numbers from 1976 to circa 1979. It is an elegant and unusual demonstration of a dual time wristwatch, with the present example is made even more desirable and unusual by the two dials that have been fully diamonds set, contrasting beautifully against the black onyx rectangular-shaped dial.
