Movement: Rolex Cal. 1530, self-winding, 26 jewels, nickel finish
Band: original steel riveted band, deployant clasp with 3/64 mark
Signed: Rolex on the case, dial, movement and clasp
This important timepiece is accompanied by the original papers marked with the original purchase date of 18, Jan. '65 from the ship's store on the USS Hunley. It is further accompanied by the original bi-fold holder with golden "anchor" hang fob and the "swimpruf" hang tag which is numbered. It is interesting to note that the USS Hunley was a submarine tender of the United States Navy, launched on 28 September 1961 and commissioned 16 June 1962. The Hunley was designed to tend most of the long-term requirements of the Polaris Class of submarines.

Condition: This timepiece presents in superior, very well preserved condition. The dial with deep rich gloss finish and consistent patina to the lume plots and hands. The case with extremely well defined, unpolished lugs with strong bevels and an excellent bezel and crown with noticeable sharpness and lack of use to the serrations. Some slight scratches to the sides of the case and scratches to the original domed crystal. The band with strong well preserve springs connecting the links. Light surface scratches to the clasp. The movement with ultra-fine original finish and no evidence of repairs. As such, fresh cleaning and oiling is recommended. Movement runs and sets as it should. Heritage does not guarantee timekeeping accuracy. We always recommend servicing for daily use and timekeeping accuracy.
