Consigned by the family of the original owner, this watch was originally purchased by a Mr. Joseph Bennett, who was described by his family as such:
"Joseph Bennett, or "JB" to his close friends and family, was a gifted businessman, a passionate aviator, and a dedicated philanthropist. Together he and his wife traveled the world, hiking and biking through Europe, heli-skiing in the Canadian Rockies, and exploring Antarctica, China, South America, and Africa. He loved flying to new and challenging destinations and piloted several fly-fishing expeditions to Alaska and extended trans-continental journeys to the southernmost reaches of South America.
Throughout his life Joe remained loyal to his legacy and his roots, pursuing various Minnesota iron mining business ventures. He cared about the communities where he lived and worked, adored classical music and the arts, and loved wild, beautiful places. He had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh, but always carried a big stick and commanded the room. He loved the finer things in life but wasn't afraid to work hard. He had natural style, was constant and determined and gave himself entirely to the things he truly loved, including aviation, the cabin at the lake, and his family."
