    Dial: matte ivory, with outer minute track, five-minute luminous dots, applied yellow gold dart and baton markers, and date aperture; yellow gold sword hour/minute hands with luminous inserts, and blued-steel sword sweep seconds hand
    Movement: Rolex caliber 1530 automatic, 25 jewels, Swiss lever, with two adjustments, "butterfly" rotor, and rhodium finish, No. 04455
    Band: stainless steel Jubilee bracelet, 22 links, approximately 7 5/8 inches maximum length, including watch, signed Rolex and stamped U.S.A. on deployment clasp

    This rare and unusual timepiece was produced at the same time as the more-familiar reference 6610 Explorer, and shares many characteristics with the Air-King Date of the era.

    Condition: Very good dial, with a few faint scratches. Good case, with crisp fluted bezel and knurling, and working screw-down crown, showing shallow depression on case back; case is stamped 5701 between lugs, 5700 inside case back. Fair bracelet, with sharp details, but notable stretch. Running, with all functions working, but service is recommended.
