Note: The Ref. 4537 was the predecessor of the Ref. 6034 and both of these early models were fitted with the "Super Oyster" or "Phantom Crown". This winding crown was an attempt by Rolex to create a waterproof crown which did not need to be screwed down to the case. The system worked but the "Super Oyster" crowns were phased out after approximately five years since the inner rubber seal would tend to deteriorate. Model 6034 with original "Super Oyster" crowns are very rare since most were replaced during servicing with the more reliable Oyster screw-down crown version.
