Rolex Ref. 16523 Two Tone Cosmograph Daytona With Champagne 'Inverted 6" Dial, circa 1993
Case: three body, gold tachometer bezel, Triplock gold crown, screw down pushers, 39 mm, S727425
Dial: champagne, applied luminous gold markers, black and gold sub dials, inverted 6 in hour register, luminous gold batons
Movement: caliber 4030, 31 jewels , automatic, adjusted to five positions and temperature, monometallic balance with Microstella screws, rhodium finish
Band: style 78393, Oysterlock

Note: This lot and the three that follow are a unique group of different Daytona variations with the highly sought after inverted "6" dials. In the sub dial at the six o'clock position (hour totalizer), the number six is inverted and appears as a "9" and not the intended "6". This "defect" is found on all four lots present here. It is especially rare as seen on the Arabic numeral dial version (lot 60266) and the diamond marker version (lot 60227).
