Rolex Ref. 2508 Very Fine & Rare Pink Gold Antimagnetic Chronograph Formerly In The Mondani Collection, circa 1939
Case: No. 47969, three body, 36 mm, 18k pink gold, snap back, polished flat bezel, rectangular push buttons, concave lugs
Dial: matte silver with applied gilt indexes and Arabic numerals, inner minute and seconds divisions, subsidiary dials for the seconds and the thirty minute register, outer tachometer and telemeter graduations, gold baton hands
Movement: 13 lignes, rhodium finish, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance with Breguet spring
Band: crocodile with 18k Rolex buckle
Signed: all signed Rolex

Note: The ref. 2508 was first issued with a 37 mm case with olive form pushers. It was then revised with a 36 mm case with rectangular pushers. The present example was last sold at auction in 2006 as part of the important Mondani collection of rare Rolex watches. This watch is illustrated in "Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches", by Osvaldo Patrizzi, 2001 Edition, p. 394.
